About Us

QuickSizeConvert is a free website that helps you convert length and weight measurements instantly, and understand what a measurement actually looks like in real life.

What this site does

Most people know a number, but they cannot picture it. Is 12 inches long or short? How big is 30 cm? How heavy is 500 grams? QuickSizeConvert answers these questions in plain language, with exact conversions, simple tables, and real-life comparisons you can picture at once.

The site covers the units people use every day: inches, feet, centimeters, millimeters, meters, yards, grams, kilograms, pounds, and ounces. You can convert in both directions, for example inches to centimeters, centimeters to inches, feet to inches, millimeters to inches, meters to feet, yards to meters, grams to ounces, and kilograms to pounds.

How the converters work

Every converter on this site uses standard, fixed formulas. One inch is always 2.54 centimeters, one foot is always 12 inches, one centimeter is always 10 millimeters, one meter is always 3.28084 feet, and one kilogram is always 2.20462 pounds. There are no estimates hidden inside the tools, and no account or sign-up is needed to use them.

Each converter page also shows a conversion table, so you can check nearby values without typing them one by one, and a short guide that explains how to measure the same size yourself.

What the guides cover

Along with the converters, the site publishes short size guides. A guide explains one measurement at a time: how long it is, how big it looks, what everyday objects are about that size, and how to measure it with a ruler, a measuring tape, or, when no ruler is available, with everyday objects for a rough estimate.

The guides are written for everyday use: buying clothes, furniture, or fabric, checking a room size, measuring a parcel, following a recipe, or helping children with schoolwork. They are not written for professional, medical, or safety-critical work, where a calibrated tool should always be used.

Who this site is for

QuickSizeConvert is for anyone who needs a quick, clear answer: students, shoppers, travellers, home cooks, DIY beginners, and anyone switching between imperial and metric units. The language is kept simple on purpose, so the answer is useful even if you do not work with measurements every day.

Our promise

We keep the site free, simple, and focused. No phone calls, no forms to fill in, and no pressure to buy anything. Just open a converter, type a number, and get a clear answer, with a guide that helps you understand it.

If you find a mistake in a conversion or a guide, please let us know through the Contact Us page so it can be corrected.
